What to Consider Before Booking 📝
✅ Hormonal Contraception
The Ovulation test is not suitable for women currently using hormonal contraception or who have only stopped within the last 2–3 months.
This is because contraception can alter natural hormone levels and affect the accuracy of your results.
Examples include: the pill (combined estrogen & progestogen or progestogen-only), Nuvaring, Implanon, 3-monthly injections, and hormonal IUDs.
✅ Timing of the Blood Sample
The blood sample should be taken around day 21 of your menstrual cycle.
For a regular 28-day cycle, this means day 21.
For longer or shorter cycles: subtract 7 days from your average cycle length.
Example: If your cycle is 33 days → take the blood sample around day 26 (+/- 1 day).
👉 Remember: Day 1 = the first day of normal bleeding.
